THE 3 MAIN PEAKS ON MOUNT KENYA

BATIAN

Standing at an elevation of 5,199m (17.057ft) above sea level. Batian peak is not only Kenya’s highest point but also the 2nd highest point on the African continent.  Highly recommends for the more adventurous and experienced mountain climbers and rock climbers.

NELION

Just 11 m below the Batian peak. Nelion peak is the 2nd highest peak on Mt. Kenya at an elevation of 5,188m (17,021ft) above sea level. Also considered a technical peak that attracts the experienced mountain and rock climbers looking for a thrilling experience.

POINT LENANA

This is the 3rd highest peak on Mt. Kenya situated on an elevation of 4,985m (16,354ft). It is the most summited peak among the 3 peaks. It does not require any technical mountaineering skills or equipment. Nevertheless it requires the trekkers / climbers to be mental and physical prepared to make it to Lenana point. It is referred to as the trekker’s summit / peak with a number of routes on the mountain that one can use to reach the summit.
