Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: From Nairobi to Mt. Kenya Bandas
Pick up from Nairobi and transfer to Chogoria town where you will have your lunch and then off to Chogoria gate foe some paperwork, meet your climb support crew and then start your trek through the forest till you get to Mt. Kenya bandas for an overnight.
Day 2: Mt Kenya Bandas to Lake Ellis campsite
Another day on the mountain. Today’s trek is a scenic one so be sure to take time and notice your surroundings as you hike up the mountain. Dinner and overnight at Lake Ellis campsite.
Day 3: Lake Ellis campsite to Minto’s camp
You trek off the beaten track today as you continue your ascent towards the Batian summit with stunning views over the Gorges valley among other amazing sights. Reach Monto’s camp in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day relaxing or talk a walk to the “temple” vertical cliff.
Day 4: Minto’s camp to Simpton camp
A very early rise in the morning to make your ascent to Point Lenana (4,985m), the common hiker’s summit and 3rd highest summit on the mountain. After descend to Shipton camp for the night.
Day 5: Rock climbing Day. Shipton to Batian peak (5,199m) to Shipton camp
Early rise between 4:00 and 5:00am for your rock-climbing adventure to the Batian peak. Your headlamp might help you through the first pitches pre-sunrise. Enjoy a short break at the Amphitheater. Continue right up to Batian peak on top of Mt. Kenya will the most amazing, breathtaking views. Descend back to the Shipton camp via Simba col for an overnight.
Day 6: Shipton camp to Old Moses camp
Continue your descent to from Shipton camp to Old Moses camp for one more night on Mount Kenya via Mackinder’s valley.
Day 7: Old Moses camp to Nairobi
A 3-hour descent will get you to Sirimon park gate where you will be picked and driven back to Nairobi marking the end of your 7-day mountain adventure.
